Role: Senior NOC Engineer

Responsibilities:

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Proficient in using Jenkins and Ansible for automating software delivery and infrastructure provisioning, streamlining processes, and ensuring efficient deployments.

Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources, enabling scalable and cost-effective solutions.

Linux Administration: Skilled in Linux-based operating system administration, ensuring system stability, security, and performance optimization.

Configuration Management: Proficient in configuration management tools like Ansible, helping maintain consistent server configurations and applying updates seamlessly.

Monitoring: Implemented monitoring solutions to ensure the availability and performance of critical systems, using tools like Zabbix, Prometheus and Grafana, combined.

Containerization: Knowledge of Docker for containerization, enabling portability and efficient resource utilization in application deployment.

Scripting: Proficient in Bash and Python scripting for automation, simplifying routine tasks and facilitating customized solutions.

Face-to-Face Support: Interacting directly with customers or stakeholders to address their concerns, provide updates, and coordinate efforts during critical outage situations. This can include communicating the status of the issue, explaining actions being taken, and managing customer expectations.

Oncall Support: Being on-call during off-hours or weekends to respond to and resolve critical incidents promptly. This may involve troubleshooting technical issues, applying fixes, and ensuring minimal downtime for services.

Confluence: Proficiency in Confluence for documentation and knowledge management, making it easier for teams to create, share, and collaborate on documentation, which is crucial for effective communication and knowledge transfer.

Jira: Utilized Jira for issue tracking, project management, and workflow management. This tool facilitates efficient tracking of tasks, projects, and team collaboration, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope.

I completed my education at Odesa National Polytechnic University with a major in "Computer Science." This academic program provided me with a strong foundation in computer science and technology, which has been essential for my career as a Senior NOC Engineer. It has enabled me to work proficiently with a diverse range of IT technologies and systems.
