    Job Description

    Oracle Product Release is seeking an Applications Developer who will work within the Product Release team to administer Oracle's internal installations of Oracle CPQ, a Configuration, Pricing, and Quoting application. The role will involve development activities as part of the COTR (Cloud Opportunity to Revenue) initiative.

    Specifically, our developers are expected to work with Configuration PO's to ensure models are built to specifications. You will also help define business processes, develop and implement enhancements using the functionality available in the "Administration Platform", and to test and troubleshoot application issues, providing appropriate feedback to Oracle's CPQ IT and development teams.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to learn quickly in a challenging environment and work as part of a team or independently to achieve objectives
    • Strong problem solving skills and technical aptitude
    • Detail oriented
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic front-end user interface / user experience skills
    • Familiarity with quote to cash and/or sales operations
    • Strong business acumen (able to obtain essential information about a situation, focus on the key objectives, recognize the relevant options available for a solution, select an appropriate course of action and set in motion an implementation plan to get the job done)
    • Knowledge of software programming best practices.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Proficient in programming languages such as, Java, C#, JavaScript, etc.
    • SQL or any similar structured query language.
    • Experienced with HTML and CSS.
    • Strongly desired experience with Agile framework

    Preferred not required:

    • The ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Big Machines CPQ Configuration, Commerce, and Document Engine modules, including BML and BMQL a plus – Blue Belt Certification ideal
    • Assists with analyzing complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
    • As part of a software project implementation team assists in implementing software projects by mapping business processes, producing documentation, establishing acceptance testing criteria.
    • Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving.
    • Ability to travel as necessary.
    • Prefer 3 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree.
