Position Overview:

• Manage and improve results necessary to achieve the Long term Plan and site Master Plan through rigorous application of Continuous Improvement and other activities.
• This role may have multi line focus; Leads and coaches a 24-hour operation of a functional area with limited to no managerial support; Apply robust people management practices, build capability of the team, creating space for effective coaching and communications.
• Builds and maintains plans and standards around safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead execution of the Packaging department plans to address losses and build capability. Acts as a point of contact and champion for longer term problem solving activities. Create a system to transfer ownership of these activities to the team
• On the floor coaching: standard execution, loss elimination, and skill development/technical mastery. Coach and mentor team to deliver departmental KPIs the right way. Identify talent needs, and develop plans to close gaps
• Leads the operational meetings and provides coaching to Shift leads and team members in the shift exchange meeting. Owns the Departmental Safety & Quality routine, adress Cleaning and inspection plans and set the priorities to loss elimination.
• Develops, monitors and embeds systems and processes to optimise efficiency, quality and delivery through the removal of waste in all forms. Manage departmental VOP program and introduce and develop a system to deliver future VOP plans
• Drives Packaging department performance through managing people and systems to achieve results. Is an owner of main departmental performance KPI - line PRs, line productivities and line extract losses
